Founded in 1909, the 1st Molesey (Jaguar) Sea Scout Group is based within the Esher District in Molesey, Surrey near the River Thames. We have three sections taking boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14 as well as our partnered Explorer Sea Scout unit for ages 14 – 18.

The group is lucky enough to be one of only 101 British Sea Scout groups recognized by the Royal Navy and therefore run water activities throughout the summer. We have a variety of water activities to offer and have exclusive access to our own fleet of kayaks, sailing dinghys, canoes, powered craft and also our purpose built boathouse facilities. Water activities are run under the instruction of qualified leaders on the river Thames between the locks of Sunbury and Molesey.

In 2009 the group celebrated reaching 100 years of Scouting at 1st Molesey and 100 years of world Sea Scouting. Many of our members attended the international jamboree at the National Watersports centre in Nottingham and we also held our own centenary events which were greatly enjoyed by both past and present members of the group.
